As a Customer Service Sales Representative, you will provide exceptional service and expert insurance recommendations to our valued customers. This role balances sales and service responsibilities, with all sales leads provided-no cold calling required.
Key Responsibilities: - Efficiently resolve customer concerns and escalate when necessary.
- Deliver information with clarity and professionalism to meet customer needs.
- Aim for first-call resolution to ensure a top-notch service experience.
You will be expected to maintain up-to-date knowledge of procedures and department standards, including Schedule Adherence, Quality Assurance, First Contact Resolution, Average Talk Time, Average Handle Time, and Average Speed of Answer.

Requirements: - Must have a Property/Casualty Insurance License.
- High School Diploma or equivalent; some college coursework is preferred.
- 1+ years of insurance sales/service experience is ideal; customer service experience is a must.
- Demonstrated stability in employment and attendance.
- Remote work experience is a plus.
- Proficient computer skills, grammar, and multitasking abilities.
- U.S. Work Authorization is required as Markel does not provide visa sponsorship.
Compensation: Starting pay ranges from $20 - $21.50/hour based on experience and education. Work hours are Monday to Friday, with some weekends and holidays.
Work Location: This position offers either a Hybrid model (3 days in the office, 2 days at home) if you live near a Markel office, or a 100% remote option if located outside of office areas.
In addition to hourly pay, there is an annual Performance Bonus Potential.
