This position is vital to the success of our retail stores. Customer Service Sales Associates collaborate closely with both wholesale and retail customers to identify their needs, answer inquiries about Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend tailored solutions. In addition, these associates are dedicated to promptly addressing any customer concerns and ensuring the highest level of client satisfaction. They also stay informed about product features and uphold the visual and quality standards of the products and store.
Customer Service Sales Associates are expected to deliver outstanding customer service while consistently achieving the store's sales objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure exceptional customer satisfaction through stellar sales service.
- Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining their needs and presenting suitable products and services.
- Build and maintain productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
- Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with company policies and procedures.
- Follow and meet sales goals on a monthly, quarterly, and yearly basis.
- Maintain organized work order files and formulas.
- Efficiently pull products from the sales floor or warehouse.
- Tint and mix products to fulfill customer specifications as required.
- Restock shelves and arrange displays effectively.
- Clean store equipment to ensure proper functioning.
- Assist with loading and unloading delivery trucks.
- Help with deliveries when necessary.
- Keep assigned areas in-stock and presentable at all times.
- Remain knowledgeable about available products and options to discuss with customers.
- Comply with inventory control procedures.
- Suggest and implement ways to enhance sales.
Minimum Requirements:
- Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
- Must be legally authorized to work in the country without the need for sponsorship for work visa status now or in the future.
- Must possess a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
- Must be capable of retrieving materials from shelves and floor stacks and lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs. frequently, and up to 70 lbs. on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, which may include evenings and weekends, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
- One (1) year of experience in a delivery, retail, or customer service role preferred.
- Prior experience in selling paint and paint-related products is a plus.
- Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment is advantageous.
- Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in more than one language is preferred.
- Ability to communicate fluently in Spanish is a plus.
