Join the Leidos team as a full-time Customer Service Representative specializing in Rental Housing. Our Customer Service team supports the US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Office of Single-Family Housing, in their mission to foster strong, sustainable, and inclusive communities by providing quality affordable housing for everyone.

As a Customer Service Representative, you will play a vital role in assisting renters, tenants, and property managers by offering valuable resources and referrals to meet their housing needs. You will also assist homebuyers and homeowners with inquiries related to purchasing and maintaining a home. This is an excellent opportunity to expand your knowledge of HUD rental assistance programs and FHA Housing Administration mortgage programs through continuous training while delivering exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Field phone calls regarding multifamily rental assistance requests, including tenant complaints, following standard operating procedures.
  • Assist with backup calls related to home buying and loan servicing from the public.
  • Provide critical information and resources to customers, ensuring outstanding customer service.
  • Utilize a knowledge base and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to effectively address customer inquiries.
  • Document communications with customers in an internal database.
To Succeed in This Role:
  • Ability to navigate multiple computer systems and applications while using search tools to provide relevant information.
  • Excellent time management skills and reliability.
  • Proficiency in MS Office applications (Outlook, Word, Teams).
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including telephone etiquette.
  • Keyboarding proficiency of at least 40 words per minute.
Required Qualifications:
  • High School diploma or General Educational Development (GED) certificate.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of property management experience and one (1) year in a contact center or telephone customer service environment.
  • Ability to successfully obtain a Public Trust Security clearance, including a credit check and background investigation.
  • Work schedule is 9:35 AM - 6:05 PM MT (subject to change based on customer needs).
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish is a plus, both verbal and written.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience with HUD-subsidized multifamily apartments or public housing.
  • Experience in an Omnichannel call center environment.

Compensation: This position offers a pay range of $18-$20 per hour.

This role is covered under the Service Contract Act, subject to minimum wage requirements and health and welfare benefits. Leidos ensures compliance with all provisions through competitive wages and benefits.

This position is located at the FHA Resource Center in Albuquerque, NM.
