Job Title: Customer Service Representative
Job Overview: We are seeking a friendly and reliable Customer Service Representative to join our client's team and play a key role in delivering excellent service within a dynamic logistics environment. This onsite, contract-to-hire position based in Westampton, NJ, focuses on assisting customers with scheduling shipments, resolving service inquiries, and ensuring a smooth flow of communication across departments.
Compensation: Work Schedule: - Monday to Friday, 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM
Key Responsibilities of the Customer Service Representative: - Respond to inbound calls, emails, and faxes to assist customers with general inquiries, scheduling, and issue resolution
- Schedule pickups and delivery appointments, trace shipments, and provide accurate ETAs and freight quotes
- Coordinate with internal teams, delivery partners, brokers, and container stations to ensure timely shipments
- Document all customer interactions for follow-up and recordkeeping
- Support billing accuracy and coordinate communication regarding Driver Collect and C.O.D. shipments
- Prepare and audit daily reports, compile custom customer data as needed
- Assist customers with online portal registration and usage
- Meet key performance standards, including call quality, process knowledge, schedule adherence, and contact efficiency
Qualifications and Skills for the Customer Service Representative: - 1+ year of customer-facing experience in a retail, hospitality, or office setting (e.g., retail associates, bank tellers, or fast-food service)
- Strong tenure in previous roles preferred; minimal job-hopping
- Experience in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook); accurate typing and data entry skills
- Dependable with excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Able to prioritize and manage multiple tasks under deadlines
- Willingness to maintain a flexible schedule to support business needs
- Professional, personable, and responsive to customer concerns
