Russell Tobin's client an eyewear multinational corporation is hiring a Customer Service Representative in Port Washington, NY 11050 (Remote)


Employment Type: Contract

Location: Port Washington, NY 11050 (Remote)

Schedule: M-F 11:00am - 7:15pm & Training is (9am - 5pm) for 2 weeks

Duration: 06+ months with the possibility of extension (Temp to Perm)

Pay rate: $17.50-$20.00/hr.



Job Description:

The Customer Service Representative will manage inbound calls from new and existing clients, addressing various customer service needs including order processing, troubleshooting, and resolving inquiries. The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to handle high call volume, and effective use of customer service tools.


Job Responsibilities:

  • Handle a high volume of inbound calls, addressing customer inquiries and processing orders.
  • Resolve complaints and troubleshoot issues to determine appropriate solutions.
  • Document customer interactions and maintain accurate records of calls and issues.
  • Provide excellent customer service by upholding company standards and service levels.
  • Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction and resolve any ongoing issues related to orders, shipping, or stock availability.
  • Maintain a professional and calm demeanor while dealing with difficult customer situations.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively and manage time efficiently.
  • Perform additional duties as needed.

Skills:

Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or call center environments.
  • Fluent in English and French (for French-speaking candidates).
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong listening and comprehension abilities.
  • Proficiency with computer systems and MS Office (Word, Excel).
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • Professional phone etiquette and strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure and manage difficult customer interactions.

Preferred:


  • Higher education degree.
  • Experience with SAP or other CRM systems.
  • Knowledge of the optical industry or experience with Luxottica products.
  • Bilingual (French-speaking candidates prioritized).

Work From Home Requirements:

  • Stable internet connection (wired connection required).
  • Quiet, dedicated workspace free from distractions.
  • Ability to transport and set up company-provided equipment (desktop and monitor).

Compensation:

  • English-speaking: $17.50/hr.
  • French-speaking: $20.00/hr.
