Our team is looking for a Customer Service Representative to join them. You will report to the Program Manager, Bids & Proposals and will have an onsite work structure in Plainview, NY.

To be considered for the Customer Service Representative opening, here's what you'll need to bring with you:
  • Associates degree in relevant discipline preferred
  • 2+ years of relevant experience, such as engineering, business, marketing, finance, economics, customer service, account management, etc.
As a Customer Service Representative, you will:
  • Review and select government and commercial sales opportunities and/or solicitations based on capability, competition, history and expertise
  • Analyze requests for information (RFIs), requests for proposals (RFPs), and requests for quotation (RFQs)
  • Prepare initial responses for the RFP, RFI and/or RFQ, using Microsoft Dynamics CRM
  • Use Government portals (such as DIBBS, PIEE, SAM.gov, others) to perform functions of the position.
  • Ensure prompt resolution of all customer inquiries.
  • Be responsible for sales order entry in the Epicor system
  • Create and submit protests to US Government about solicitations and contracts awarded to competitors.
  • Understand and comply with US Government solicitation and bidding processes and contractual requirements. Including US Federal Acquisition Regulations (FARS/DFARS)
  • Understand market dynamics and competition with respect to pricing and lead time
  • Assist with establishing and maintaining collaboration workspace for proposal preparation
  • Collaborate with the team to write/edit/proofread proposal sections to ensure all requirements are captured accurately
  • Support lessons-learned meetings and implement actions to improve process efficiency
  • Support continuous improvement projects to enhance current proposal/sales process
  • Support Source Approval Request (SAR) packages for the US Government, and assign and drive actions and sections of SARs by functional departments for the packages
  • Cross-train to be able to cover for other staff in Contracts, Sales, and Bids & Proposals
  • Provide exceptional customer service
  • Build relationships with government and commercial customers, for resolving issues and improving contract win rates
  • Perform other duties as-needed and as-assigned
  • Travel to customers and events as-needed

Compensation Range: $25 - $28/hour, based on experience
