Customer Service Representative at Powertrain Company, a sister company to ATC Drivetrain.
SUMMARY
Uses various communication and computerized methods to assure satisfaction to both internal and external customers by performing the following duties.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
Receives and answers inquiries from customers regarding order status, shipments, and various other customer issues.
Answers incoming calls on the toll free technical hot line and directs to appropriate engineering or quality function if necessary.
Follows up on customer inquiries and research to assure satisfactory completion.
Enters alphabetic, numeric, or symbolic data from source documents into computer following format displayed on screen.
Compares data entered with source document, or re-enters data in verification format on screen to detect errors.
Deletes incorrectly entered data and re-enters correct data.
Compiles, sorts, verifies accuracy of data to be entered.
Files documents on a timely basis.
Creates invoices and Advanced shipping Notices (ASN).
Receives orders via Electronic Data Interchange (EDI).
Transmits ASN's using EDI.
Prepares Air Freight Documentation, Export Documentation, Parcel Postage Documentation, and other freight documentation as requested.
Manually prepares freight documentation when necessary.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
One year certificate from college or technical school; or three to six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
LANGUAGE SKILLS
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization.
MATHEMATICAL SKILLS
Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry.
REASONING ABILITY
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
