SUMMARY OBJECTIVE

The Customer Service Representative interacts with customers by addressing inquiries and resolving complaints. Responsible for providing customers with information about products and services, processing orders and returns.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Responsible for assisting customers with orders, customer complaints and providing routine information in response to inquiries.
  • Accountable for processing, expediting, delaying, or communicating the status of open orders.
  • Answers phone calls. Responds to customer questions and requests and conveys to appropriate department within a timely process.
  • Communicates directly with Production, Shipping and other operating functions regarding delivery and service matters.
  • Accountable for responding to Engineering, R&D, and Quality regarding product-related complaints and inquiries.
  • Responsible for working directly with Accounts Receivable Department on client matters related to customer payment issues and discrepancies.
  • Maintains Customer Database by entering, updating, and maintaining customer accounts and customer orders and ensure accurate information as well as communicating appropriate information with internal departments.
  • Responsible for scheduling and coordinating customer shipments including validating customer documentation for accuracy.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Two plus years of customer service experience representative of problem solving.
  • Previous work experience in a business-to business or manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Computer Proficient in MS Office; Word/Excel/PPT including website navigation; ERP experience preferred.
  • Proven verbal and written communication skills representing high-response and resolution.
