Job Title: Customer Service Representative

Department: Store Operations

Job Summary: As a Customer Service Representative, you'll support the store management team by providing outstanding customer service, preparing food and beverages, handling cash register duties, and maintaining a clean and welcoming environment. Your goal is to ensure that every customer has an exceptional experience that aligns with Wawa's vision.

Principal Duties:
  • Welcome customers warmly and enhance their shopping experience. Address requests and concerns promptly and courteously.
  • Communicate effectively with the management about customer needs and feedback.
  • Operate cash registers, scan items, manage transactions, and ensure accurate cash handling.
  • Follow legal requirements by verifying IDs for age-restricted sales of products like tobacco and alcohol.
  • Restock products in designated areas to maintain a fully stocked environment.
  • Manage fuel transactions and keep an eye on activities in the fuel area.
  • Prepare made-to-order food and beverages according to specified recipes or customer requests.
  • Keep food and beverage areas stocked and ensure coffee equipment is functioning correctly.
  • Maintain cleanliness in service areas, ensuring a tidy and safe workspace free of spills and debris.
  • Follow safety and quality guidelines as outlined in our training materials.
  • Perform general housekeeping tasks like cleaning and organizing within the store.
  • Complete additional tasks as assigned by the management team.
Essential Functions:
  • Ability to work well both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Eagerness to learn and apply food safety and service standards.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and perform physical tasks regularly throughout the shift.
  • Must be able to lift and carry items up to 35 lbs.
  • Reliable transportation is required, and wearing slip-resistant shoes is mandatory.
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning products and work safely with high-temperature equipment.
Basic Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or equivalent is preferred.
  • Prior experience in food service and/or customer service is a plus.
