Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Customer Service Representative located in Wilmington, CA. As a Customer Service Representative you will be responsible for developing and implementing researching, planning, and coordinating the safe, efficient, and timely transportation and shipping of customer goods.

Job Responsibilities

Coordinate shipping schedules with vendors and/or transportation

Develop requirements and standards (e.g., packaging, procurement, delivery)

Foster trusting relationships with vendors and team members

Managing information accrued from point of origin to delivery

Coordinate transportation movements, and arranging for services as necessary

Manage and coordinate inbound and outbound shipments

Research, contact, and coordinate with new or current carriers.

Ability to run and update reports as needed within various applications.

Review training materials for tracking systems with internal customers whenever necessary.

Schedule outbound and inbound shipments

Provide input and complete freight bills Inbound/ Outbound

Assist with the communications with carriers and customers when issues arise

Make recommendations with regard to transportation, routing, carrier selection and assist to meet customer requirements

Help manage current customer accounts, Providing exceptional customer service

Deal with a high volume of inbound and outbound Emails and phone calls

Maintain relationships with carriers and customers

Provide exceptional customer service to customers and carriers

Solve customer and carrier problems and help resolve issues

Lead, organize, and drive execution within the customer service team and logistics

Ensure Best in Class Service to our Customers thru a strong Customer Service Organization and a mature Customer Collaboration process in place

Minimum Required Qualifications

Three (3) year experience in planning or supply chain industry

Two (2) years proficient experience in MS Excel and Word. Candidate must be able to create and maintain active spreadsheets

Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including telephone etiquette

Possess the ability to work well with others and support team goals.

Maintain flexibility and accept other duties as assigned while conducting business in a professional manner at all times

Ability to work extended hours when necessary

Essential Job Functions

Familiarity with supply chain processes (e.g., inventory monitoring, sourcing freight bids)

Strong analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude

Strong mindfulness

Great people skills

Exceptional verbal and written and communication skill
