Description The University of Iowa's Parking & Transportation Department is seeking a professional who will serve as a Customer Service Representative in a fast-paced environment interacting with a variety of individuals in a constructive and collaborative manner to provide world-class customer service. This position will review existing system processes while using them efficiently and accurately and make recommendations for improvement in addition to creating and updating standards and practices as they relate to all services provided by the Parking Services Office. This position will assist with functionally supervising student employees including providing training, performance monitoring, scheduling, shift coverage, and coaching, among other tasks as needed.
This position is performed fully on campus. Duties to Include: - Serve as primary customer service representative for the Parking Office and provide excellent customer service in person, on the phone and through email.
- Assist the department in replying to incoming departmental email inbox.
- Maintains customer records by updating account information accurately and efficiently in our database management system AIMS.
- Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate education, solutions and alternatives within department regulations following communication procedures, guidelines and policies.
- Conduct reporting various audits regularly and ensure permits and bus passes are being issued correctly.
- Additional duties will be assigned for various back-end system processes to ensure our departments daily duties are accomplished timely and efficiently.
Location: West Campus Transportation Center (WCTC)
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm
Salary: $47,000 to commensurate

Qualifications Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Experience (typically 6 months) in administrative or customer service support role.
- Proficiency in computer software applications including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel.
- Demonstrated customer service and cash handling experience.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Demonstrated experience multitasking in fast paced environment.
Desired Qualifications: - Experience working in a higher education environment.
- Functional supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of University policies and procedures.
