The Customer Service Representative (CSR) at NWS plays a critical role in both strengthening and sustaining customer relationships and enhancing the overall customer experience. This position serves as a key internal support resource for customers who may otherwise rely on external and internal sales representatives-particularly when those representatives are unavailable due to travel, meetings, or other commitments.
The CSR collaborates closely with finance, procurement, operations, inventory control, management, and the sales team to manage the end-to-end order flow process. Responsibilities include supporting supply chain activities, executing quotes and orders, and handling all associated documentation for each customer account.
As NWS continues to grow its sales organization, the CSR role is vital to ensuring operational continuity and customer satisfaction. This position reports to the Customer Service Manager and is an integral part of the operations team at NWS.
Functions of the Customer Service Representative: - Execute and manage all open orders and related communications to ensure inside and outside sales teams have the information needed to deliver timely quotes, secure optimal pricing, and ensure on-time order fulfillment.
- Develop and maintain order tracking systems for large-scale customer projects, manage internal order processing, and provide regular updates to both internal teams and customers on a weekly, bi-weekly, or as-needed basis.
- Oversee the dropship warehouse operations by processing sales team quotations, managing purchase orders, receiving materials into the system, and reconciling orders based on vendor invoices.
- Serve as the primary point of contact between the sales and operations teams, coordinating with the warehouse on incoming and outgoing shipments, resolving inventory issues, and ensuring seamless internal communication
- Serve as the primary liaison with customers throughout the order lifecycle, providing updates on order confirmations, backorders, and shipment tracking.
