Customer Service Representative (Contract)

You are a detail-oriented, professional Customer Service Representative to support customers in the grocery retail and mobile app space. This full-time role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, technical aptitude, and a passion for delivering excellent customer experiences. Candidates should be comfortable assisting users with limited tech experience and committed to building customer loyalty.

Location: Emeryville, CA - Hybrid schedule: In office - Monday/Tuesday/Thursday

This position pays: $25.00 per hpur

What you will be doing:

  • Provide responsive, courteous support to customers via phone, email, and digital channels
  • Guide users through mobile app features, including gamification and account troubleshooting
  • Handle escalated customer concerns with professionalism and empathy
  • Offer clear, step-by-step support for customers unfamiliar with mobile technology
  • Contribute to the Help Center with helpful guides and documentation
  • Log interactions and identify trends for internal improvement
  • Work cross-functionally with teams to resolve customer issues efficiently
  • Help drive customer retention by creating a positive support experience

What you bring:

  • Previous experience in customer service, ideally in retail, grocery, or mobile product support
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills; ability to simplify technical information
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Patience and professionalism when supporting non-technical users
  • A proactive, team-oriented mindset with problem-solving skills
