Job Description
You will serve as an expeditor and logistics point of contact, ensuring effective and timely communication with customers and managing assigned customer accounts.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the first point of contact for customers when processing orders and requests.
- Manage customer complaints, returns, and invoices in a timely manner.
- Respond to customer requests for product information and samples.
- Ensure proper corrective actions are taken for customer complaints, documenting information appropriately.
- Provide training and mentoring for Customer Service Coordinators as needed.
- Manage customer portals, including recovering PO's and re-entering invoice data.
- Collaborate with internal teams such as Supply Chain and Sales to manage situations impacting the customer.
- Escalate any urgent issues to sales and management as appropriate.
- Obtain required approvals to issue customer credits.
- Track shipments for customers and provide assistance in expediting.
- Manage consignment process for approved customers, questioning any discrepancies in inventory.
Essential Skills
- Customer Service experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Experience in order management and managing customer accounts.
- Effective and timely communication skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Team player mentality.
- Ability to determine the quickest, most effective ways to answer customer questions and find solutions.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in logistics, customer service, data entry, and inventory management.
- Knowledge of supply chain processes.
- Strong customer support skills.
Work Environment
This role operates Monday to Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, with three days in-office (Tuesday to Thursday) and two days remote (Monday and Friday). Initial training will be on-site from 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM for 3-4 weeks. This is an excellent opportunity to get your foot in the door with the company, with potential for internal mobility after six months in the contract role.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr.
