Job Overview: The Customer Service Representative (CSR) serves as the primary point of contact between the company and its clients. They are responsible for handling inquiries, providing product or service information, processing orders, and resolving any issues related to customer needs. CSRs must have a solid understanding of the company's metal fabrication processes, products, and timelines to effectively communicate with clients and ensure satisfaction. They work closely with sales, production, and logistics teams to ensure seamless customer experience, maintain strong client relationships, and support the company's business objectives.
Key Responsibilities: - Enter orders and jobs for various customer accounts
- Review open order customer reports
- Confirm deliveries, order status, relay late orders to account managers & customers, and facilitate expedites.
- Perform documentation and data entry for customer accounts
- Support Account Managers
- Coordinate shop schedule with management
- Coordinate the cross-selling projects between multiple businesses
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications: - Have general Microsoft Office skills (Outlook, Excel, Word) as well as working knowledge of database applications.
- Have effective and high-quality Customer Service/Relationship management skills via walk-ins, phone, and email
- Have a positive, professional attitude, handling difficult customers with the ability to diffuse negative situations.
- Have experience working with shipping and order management
- Have effective verbal and written skills - must be able to explain technical parts and information clearly and able to communicate with customers and accurately input orders.
- Knowledge of manufacturing is preferred
