Summary
The Customer Service Representative provides exceptional customer service and supports the Solid Waste business office in day-to day activities. Handles a variety of administrative tasks, including processing requests by phone and email for a high-volume office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Performs clerical and customer services duties including answering telephone and handling requests for service
  • Interacts with customers and visitors by phone, email, and in-person
  • Monitors vehicles as they enter the scale to be weighed
  • Enters daily data for productivity reports, scale/weight tickets and landfill costs
  • Communicates customer requests and concerns with the business office, field operations, and office staff
  • Monitors new customer accounts to verify billing code; contacts customers to verify the number of containers and creates work orders for new sets and / or pickups
  • Performs receptionist duties such as scheduling, filing, and data entry for billing and reporting
  • Prepares reports and records as assigned
  • Composes correspondence and mail for general code violations and customer compliance
  • Follows policy, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of customer service experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with Microsoft Office
