This full-time position is vital to our retail stores' success. Customer Service Representatives engage closely with wholesale and retail customers to understand their needs, address their inquiries regarding Sherwin-Williams products, and recommend suitable solutions. It is essential for these representatives to swiftly resolve any customer issues, ensuring maximum client satisfaction while keeping up-to-date with product features and maintaining high quality and visual standards of the products and store. The role requires a commitment to achieving excellent customer service while consistently meeting the store's sales targets.

The selected candidate will be expected to work at Store , located at: 2866 Pelham Pkwy, Pelham, AL 35124.

Job duties include contact with customers, which may involve minors, and access to cash and other payment methods, electronic equipment, personal information, store merchandise, and valuables, which may be supervised or unsupervised. As such, the company has decided that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business, its operations, and the safety of customers and staff.

  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through excellent sales service.
  • Assist customers in person and over the phone by determining needs and presenting appropriate products and services.
  • Build productive trust relationships with wholesale and retail customers.
  • Process sales transactions accurately and in accordance with policies and procedures.
  • Achieve monthly, quarterly, and yearly sales goals.
  • Maintain precise work order files and formulas.
  • Retrieve products from the sales floor or warehouse as necessary.
  • Tint and mix products to customer specifications as needed.
  • Stock shelves and set up displays.
  • Clean store equipment.
  • Load/unload delivery trucks.
  • Assist in making deliveries, if required.
  • Maintain in-stock and presentable conditions in assigned areas.
  • Stay knowledgeable about products offered and discuss available options with customers.
  • Comply with inventory control procedures.
  • Propose ideas for improving sales.
Minimum Requirements:
  • Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
  • Must be legally authorized to work without the need for employment visa sponsorship.
  • Must have a valid, unrestricted Driver's License.
  • Must be able to frequently lift and carry up to 50 lbs and up to 70 lbs on occasion, with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Must be willing to work all scheduled hours, including evenings and weekends.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • At least a High School diploma or GED.
  • At least one (1) year of experience in delivery, retail, or customer service roles.
  • Previous experience selling paint and related products.
  • Experience operating tinting and mixing equipment.
  • Ability to communicate in more than one language is a plus.
  • Ability to read, write, comprehend, and communicate in Spanish is preferred.
