REPORTS TO: LOAN OFFICER/BRANCH MANAGER LOCATION: STARR BRANCH
JOB SUMMARY:
Identifies and satisfies customer expectations of high quality service and professionalism while ensuring all customer transactions and inquiries within the team leader's area of responsibility are completed in an accurate, efficient, courteous and timely manner.
Provides assistance to new and established CBTx deposit account and loan customers including; opening new accounts, establishing direct deposit services, completing monetary transfers, and cross-selling of products and services. Assists lending staff in preparing documents associated with consumer and commercial loans. Works with lending staff, title companies and attorneys in assisting with loan closings.
Assists in the development of new business relationships and maintaining existing relationships, answers questions from customers and team members relating to all deposit and loan services provided by CBTx, recognizes selling and referral opportunities, meets assigned objectives and goals for deposit and loan production, and makes referrals to appropriate CBTx specialists. May participate as a team member with a commercial, mortgage or consumer lender.
PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist loan officer in preparing all loan documents for closings, preparing extensions and modifications, and preparing and funding construction advances and line of credit advances. Communicate directly with borrowers, bank personnel, title companies, and attorneys to complete the loan from start to finish.
- Assistant is responsible for in-house closings and funding of all real estate and non-real estate loans. They are responsible for getting all loans booked and having all the necessary documents saved in the correct files prior to booking. They are also responsible for making sure Icore profiles are set up and BAM completed prior to booking.
- Assistant is responsible for working the maturity report in a timely manner. May assist the loan officer in working on past due loan payments and collection of those payments.
- Assistant will help customers with anything they may need including but not limited to wire transfers, change of addresses, new accounts, raising debit card limits, sending bank statements/loan histories, and sending end of year documents.
- May originate consumer loans within designated lending authority.
- May assist in opening new accounts (personal or commercial) DDA, savings, CD's, IRA's and safe deposit boxes.
- Meets with and assists existing and potential customers with a complete range of CBTx services. Explains available CBTx products, interest rates, and services, gathers and verifies customer information, prepares loan and/or deposit documents and other necessary paperwork.
- Provides efficient and courteous customer service, cross-marketing products and services to generate new business for CBTx. Actively refers loan, trust, and insurance services to appropriate CBTx specialists.
- Opens and closes office and/or work area by following CBTx security procedures.
- Remains current with federal or state regulations and CBTx policies and procedures.
- Must be bondable as a Notary.
- Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: BBA preferred. High School Diploma required.
Four or more years of job related experience. A minimum of 3 years CBTx Customer Service experience. BBA may be substituted for 4 years experience.
Compliance: Knowledge of Bank policies and procedures and regulatory compliance laws. Completes all compliance training as scheduled. Follows bank policies and procedures consistent with regulatory compliance in all situations and activities performed. Properly document any exception to the Bank policy and procedures, including any exception to regulatory compliance requirements.
