Job Description

Job Description Summary: The Customer Service Sales Assistant has primary responsibility for managing the relationship between the customer and the Supply Chain with respect to their assigned accounts. This process begins with the placement of an order and serves as a liaison for all aspects through the receipt of final payment for that order. The Customer Service Sales Assistant manages this relationship by: a) becoming intimately familiar with the customer's organization, product needs, processes and procedures; b) analyzing historical data and account trends; and c) partnering with the Sales team to provide the highest level of customer service to all accounts. This information is then used to design efficient and cost-effective business solutions for the benefit of both the customer and A&F Export/Twin Rivers Foods which ultimately result in improved customer relations and generates new or continued sales.

Requirements:

Education: Bachelor's degree strongly preferred: 3-5 years related experience may be considered in lieu of degree

Experience: 3- 5 years business experience

Computer Skills: Proficient with MS Office applications required

Communication Skills: Strong written, oral and interpersonal skills; Conflict Management skills; Ability to multi-task; Positive attitude; Problem Solving skills; Negotiation skills

Travel: The position requires domestic travel for customer meetings; normal travel is approximately 2-3 times per year

Defined roles and responsibilities:
  • Process daily orders to billing. Expected 24hour turnaround time.
  • Process customer orders/trades and customer expectations.
  • Process customer deductions/short pays.
  • Manage GSM's, other costs, etc.
  • Maintain inventory files.
  • Maintain pricing files.
  • Maintain and update customer training files.
