Customer Service Representative LOCATION: City of Industry, CA PAY: $17.50 HOURS: 7:00 am - 3:45 pm JOB DESCRIPTION - Answer telephones, direct calls, and take messages.
- Answers incoming telephone calls, determines purpose of callers and forwards calls to appropriate personnel or department.
- Email inquiries and order processing
- Review contracts and orders entered to ensure accuracy of data.
- Interface with production, purchasing, quality, shipping, and accounting teams in an effort to expedite (as required) and deliver on-time product.
- Respond to all customer requests and update data as necessary.
- Correspond with customers in a timely manner regarding receipt of orders, prices, schedule changes, and shipping information.
- Operate office machines, such as photocopiers, scanners, and voicemail
- Maintain and update filing, inventory, mailing, and database systems
- Data entry and support services as assigned by management team
- Coordinate with appropriate company organizations to resolve problems and customer complaints.
- Maintain records and files of orders, quotes, and customer correspondence.
QUALIFICATIONS: - 1-2 years of experience in Customer Service
- Possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Manufacturing background a plus
- Professional demeanor and ability to remain calm and professional in order to diffuse difficult situations. Ability to treat customers with friendliness, diplomacy, and patience at all times.
- Working knowledge of customer service and order entry procedures.
- Good computer skills, including familiarity with Excel and other MS Office applications, and working knowledge of SAP systems a plus
- Good oral and written communication skills and a high level of moral and ethical codes.
