Description of Duties Description of Duties:
Under general supervision, candidate will provide excellent customer services greeting clients, answering questions, directing clients, and completing client intake and checkout process for an infectious disease Public Health clinic. Candidate must have excellent communication and customer services skills. Candidate will need to greet and direct patients; answer patient questions; answer multiple phone lines; collaborate with clinical and call center teams; complete intake/data entry into clinic EMR; prepare or assist in preparation of clinic reports; collect insurance and fees; observe clients taking their medications (directly observed therapy); and provide general support needed to maintain overall clinic operations. The candidate must be able to work in a fast paced environment.
QualificationsMinimum: High school diploma or GED
ANDSix months of experience handling customer's questions, complaints and/or providing information.
Preferred: Preferred:
1. Bilingual (English & Spanish Preferred); able to provide written and verbal instructions in Spanish and English.
2. Experience working in a Public Health setting.
3. One year experience working in a clinical or office setting
4. One year experience using electronic medical records
5. One year experience with insurance eligibility, billing, and/or coding in a clinical setting.
6. Two years experience using computer IT software such as Microsoft Office Products
