Customer Service Planning Specialist

Job Description

Department: Inside Sales

Manager: Inside Sales Manager

Responsible for: Customer Relationship & Project Management

Pay Status: Salary + Overtime.

Location: On Site, Erie Window Mfg. Plant

Job Purpose

Responsibilities will include reviewing and communicating directly with project customers, processing all order entry for respective projects, gate keeper of all project communications and exceptions. Working directly with department supervisors to determine progress of work and completion dates; and compiling reports on progress of work, inventory levels, costs, invoicing and production exceptions.

Responsibilities
  • Lead Customer Service Representative for defined Project Customers
  • Order Entry Requirements & Processing for defined Project Customers
  • Review and understand customer documents, such as window type requirements, project layouts, production schedules, work orders, or staffing tables, to determine order entry, schedule sequencing, material planning and transportation planning.
  • Maintain each Job's document organization, phase planning, material requirement planning, and delivery dates. Responsible for the internal distribution for procurement, scheduling, production, delivery to meet all job delivery requirements.
  • Confer with department supervisors or other personnel to assess progress and discuss needed changes.
  • Document and communicate revised production schedules when required due to design changes, labor or material shortages, backlogs, or other interruptions, collaborating with management, customer service, sales, procurement, scheduling, production, or engineering.
  • Accurate communication both verbal & written with departments regarding customer updates, procurement planning, plant movement material requirements, production planning, scheduling, and shipping activities.
  • Customer Service responsibilities including order weekly team project reviews, job completion status, exception management, shipping schedules and resolve complaints or eliminate delays.
