Customer Service Representative for a
contract-to-hire opportunity with one of our valued clients in the manufacturing industry. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys problem-solving, technical conversations, and providing top-tier service.
What You'll Do: Operational Responsibilities:- Respond to customer technical questions professionally and accurately
- Take and process orders via phone, email, fax, online platforms, or in-person
- Manage literature/sample requests and ensure order accuracy using Salesforce and Dynamics GP
- Track shipments, maintain customer records, and update systems
- Address customer complaints, process RMAs, and escalate product issues to the Quality team
- Provide live chat support and timely responses to customer emails
- Reconcile order or billing issues through coordination with Accounts Receivable
- Process EDI orders and maintain data within Transaction Manager
- Safely work in and around chemicals (e.g., latex, biocides, fungicides)
Relational Responsibilities:- Make outbound calls to support customer product usage and capture key insights
- Collaborate with internal teams (sales, operations, quality) to resolve issues
Aspirational Responsibilities:- Participate in ongoing training and knowledge-building opportunities
- Contribute to updates for internal procedures and best practices
What You Bring: - Prior experience in a customer service or technical support role, ideally in manufacturing
- Familiarity with Salesforce, Microsoft Dynamics GP, and EDI systems (a plus)
- Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail
- Ability to manage technical product data and resolve issues effectively
- Comfortable working around industrial chemicals (training provided)
