Job Title: Customer Service Engineer /Senior Network Engineer Location: San Jose, CA Duration: 5+ months Pay Rate: $90/hr - $100/hr on W2 Job diva ID: 25-02656Description - Design, configure, and implement network solutions, including LANs, WANs, VPNs, and firewalls.
- Install, configure, and maintain network devices such as routers, switches, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Monitor network performance and troubleshoot network issues to ensure optimal uptime and performance.
- Implement and maintain network security measures to protect data and infrastructure from unauthorized access.
- Perform network capacity planning and make recommendations for network upgrades.
- Develop and maintain network documentation, including network diagrams, configurations, and procedures.
- Collaborate with other IT teams and vendors to resolve network-related issues and implement new technologies.
- Managing software and network infrastructure for virtualized environments.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest networking technologies and trends.
Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
- 7 years of experience in network engineering or a related role.
- Strong understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, routing protocols (e.g., BGP, OSPF), and switching technologies.
- Experience with firewall configuration and management (e.g., Cisco ASA, Palo Alto Networks).
- Experience with VPN technologies (e.g., IPsec, SSL VPN).
- Experience with system administration of Linux.
- Experience with virtualization and containerization (e.g., VMware, KVM, Docker).
- Familiarity with network monitoring and management tools.
- Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Preferred qualifications & skills: - Relevant industry certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNA, CCNP, CompTIA Network+).
- Experience with cloud networking (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP).
- Experience with high-speed NAS/SAN Storage networks.
- Experience with network automation tools and scripting (e.g., Python, Ansible).
- Knowledge of network security best practices and compliance standards.
