Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers by using in-depth knowledge of company processes and products as well as communicating effectively with other team/service center members.
Responsibilities:
- Answer phones and respond to emails in a courteous and timely manner
- Perform general customer service by giving rate quotes, sales bids, status of shipments, helping customer correctly fill out a Bill Of Lading and label freight, etc.
- Resolve complex or unusual requests and problems that may require customized responses and communicate solutions or requested information to the customer
- Respond to customer issues and questions in a timely manner
- Handle escalated issues from other customer service clerks
- Provide training to new customer service clerks
- Provide Service 2.OD to internal and external customers
- May assist with general office duties such as mailing, filing and copying
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or equivalent
- 4 years of customer service experience in the transportation industry
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, AS400 and other company specific systems
- Ability to handle multiple requests and priorities in as fast-paced environment
- Demonstrated ability to provide Service 2.OD consistently and set a positive example for other employees
