Join our team as a Customer Service and Stock Associate, where you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive shopping experience for our customers. In this full-time position, you will merchandise and stock products, operate the cash register, and maintain cleanliness in our store.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $17.00 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $17.50 Year 3 - $18.00 Year 4 - $18.00 Year 5 - $19.00
Duties and Responsibilities: - Provide exceptional customer service and assist customers throughout their shopping experience.
- Efficiently process customer purchases and handle general cleaning duties to maintain the store's appearance.
- Stock shelves and merchandise displays, ensuring a neat and organized environment.
- Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate clearly with store management.
- Offer constructive feedback to management on products and inventory status.
- Participate in inventory counts and maintain accurate inventory levels.
- Follow cash handling policies and procedures to reduce losses.
- Comply with all company policies while maintaining document security and confidentiality.
- Other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: - Ability to stock merchandise and place products weighing up to 45 pounds on shelves at various heights.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and move around the store.
- Must be able to perform these duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Strong customer service skills and a courteous demeanor.
- Efficient and accurate operation of a cash register.
- Ability to safely use equipment like electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
- Commitment to completing cleaning duties to company standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Capacity to work independently or within a team.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask effectively.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience: - A High School Diploma or equivalent is preferred.
- Previous retail experience is an advantage.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
