Join our team as a Store Associate, where you'll play a vital role in enhancing the shopping experience for customers. Your responsibilities will include merchandising, stocking products, operating the cash register, and ensuring the store maintains a clean and inviting environment.
Position Type: Full-Time
Average Hours: 32-40 hours per week
Starting Wage: $18.50 per hour
Wage Increases: Year 2 - $19.00, Year 3 - $19.50, Year 4 - $19.50, Year 5 - $20.50
Duties and Responsibilities: Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by assisting customers during their shopping experience.
- Efficiently process customer purchases and maintain a clean store environment.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively with store management.
- Monitor inventory levels and report any issues related to products or inventory discrepancies.
- Follow cash policies and procedures to minimize discrepancies.
- Participate in regular inventory counts to maintain accuracy.
- Adhere to all company policies while ensuring the security and confidentiality of company documents.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Physical Demands: - Ability to stock merchandise and lift products weighing up to 45 pounds.
- Regularly required to sit, stand, bend, reach, push, pull, lift, carry, and walk around the store.
- Must be able to perform duties with or without reasonable accommodation.
Qualifications: - Must be 18 years of age or older.
- Demonstrated ability to provide prompt and courteous customer service.
- Proficiency in operating a cash register efficiently and accurately.
- Ability to safely operate equipment such as electric/manual hand jacks and floor scrubbers.
- Strong cleaning skills to maintain company standards.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail and the ability to multitask.
- Meet state and local requirements for handling and selling alcoholic beverages.
Education and Experience: - High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous retail experience is preferred.
- A combination of education and experience providing equivalent knowledge is acceptable.
