Job Description: GDIT is seeking a Customer Service Agent to provide customer assistance to NC Medicaid recipients supported by a multi-customer contact or help desk environment. In this role you will respond to recipient calls, providing a single point of contact for inquiries and obtaining guidance about services provided by the service center.
HOW A CUSTOMER SERVICE AGENT WILL MAKE AN IMPACT: - Answers incoming phone calls on behalf of client; provides accurate and appropriate information to callers.
- Places outbound customer service or customer satisfaction calls, as required by client.
- Completes call guides; gathers and verifies required information.
- Attends telephone skills and program information training sessions; adheres established levels of service.
- Adheres to established customer service and documentation standards within required time frames.
- Adheres to contact center scheduling, ensures telephone coverage during contact center hours of operation.
- Performs clerical or administrative duties as assigned.
What You'll Need to Succeed: - High school diploma or G.E.D.
- 1+ or more years of customer service or other telephone experience
- Experience working with fax machines, computer software, and telephone technology

The likely hourly rate for this position is between $15.09 - $20.41. This is not, however, a guarantee of compensation or salary. Rather, salary will be set based on experience, geographic location and possibly contractual requirements and could fall outside of this range.
