DESCRIPTION OF WORK DEFINITION: Staff Support, Part Time (Imperial Centre)
REPORTS TO: Administrative Secretary (Imperial Centre)
HOURS: Varied, weekdays and weekends, days and evenings. Less than 32 (maximum) hours per week. JOB REQUIREMENTS- Provides friendly and informative customer service
- Assists in the processing of applications, registrations for programming and facility rentals.
- Chaperones facility rental events when assigned (Imperial Centre & Booker T) including a/v setup, customer relations and support, and maintains rentals policies and procedures.
- Handles customer payments and credit transactions
- Responsible for the balancing and reconciling of payments received at the end of shift
- Assists with a variety of recreation clerical duties
- Acts as a resource and service person for participants and general public
- Is knowledgeable and answers general and/or specific questions about Parks and Recreation and City of Rocky Mount services
- Attends meetings and training as scheduled
- Maintains professional appearance and demeanor at all times
- Other duties as assigned
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- High School diploma or GED
- Good customer service, oral and written communication skills
- Ability to successfully operate and understand Microsoft Office and cashier operating system
- Ability to count and reconcile payments
- Good steady work record
- Ability to lift 25 lbs.
- Willingness to learn
- Valid NC driver's license
