About Our Client

Our client is a leading manufacturer and supplier in the automotive, commercial vehicle, off highway markets specializing in the manufacturing solutions that serve OEM and Aftermarket customers globally. This client has solutions for internal combustion and electrification applications and continues to drive innovation. The Regional Customer Demand Planning Manager is a newly created position with high visibility to senior leadership on the company's Center of Excellence team.

Job Description
  • Forecasting & Demand Planning: Develop and maintain demand forecasts for assigned customers and product categories. Analyze historical sales data, market trends, and promotional activities to create accurate forecasts.
  • Collaboration with Sales & Marketing Teams: Work closely with sales, marketing, and customer service teams to gather insights on promotional campaigns, new product launches, and customer preferences. Ensure that demand plans are aligned with upcoming business initiatives.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels and collaborate with supply chain teams to ensure that stock is sufficient to meet customer demand without overstocking or understocking. Proactively identify and address potential supply chain issues that may impact demand fulfillment.
  • Demand Analysis: Analyze discrepancies between forecasted and actual demand, identifying reasons for variances. Work with relevant teams to develop corrective actions and improve future demand accuracy.
  • Customer Service: Ensure that customer orders are filled accurately and on time. Address customer demand-related inquiries, complaints, or concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Data Reporting: Provide regular reports and updates on demand trends, inventory status, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to management. Utilize demand planning software and other tools to support decision-making.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improving demand planning processes, tools, and forecasting accuracy. Implement best practices to enhance the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the demand planning function.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Customer Demand Planner should have:
  • A bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work well in a team
