This position is responsible for installing and/or servicing home automation systems, consisting of distributed audio and video, surround sound and home theater systems, networking, structured cabling, leadership to other team members, and to bring a subject matter expertise. Candidates should have experience working and interfacing with smart lighting, window coverings, security systems, sensors, cameras, home automation programming, remote setups, keypads, touchscreens, and locks among other applications. This position will have face to face interactions with clients and must have the demeanor and acumen to communicate, help resolve customer issues, complaints, and problems. This is a physically active position involving all aspects of installation of projection systems, audio systems, control and automation systems, internet music systems, and universal remote controls.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE
- Working knowledge of Control4 and/or Crestron systems
- Understanding of data networks, including WAN/LAN, switching/routing, WiFi, Network programming.
- Documented industry certifications from major industry manufacturers and/or associations, e.g. Crestron, Control4, Lutron, CEDIA, etc.
Installation and programming experience with audio, video, lighting control, shading, automation, home networking, and home theater systems.
System troubleshooting and diagnostics
Providing first in class client training
New Construction and Retrofit Wire Installation including Termination of Cat/Coax/Fiber
Rack Building & Wire Lacing
Surround Sound System Installation & Configuration
Distributed Audio and Video System Installation
Lutron Radio Ra2 and Ra3, Homeworks, and Full Shade installation
A/V System Troubleshooting / Testing / Documentation
Araknis and Ruckus Networks - Complete Setup and Configuration
Be willing to perform all aspects of an installation from pulling cable to building racks; we are a team and looking for someone willing to do whatever it takes to get the job done.
Minimum Requirements:
Minimum of 5+ years of field experience
Must have prior RESIDENTIAL AV and home integration experience
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Valid Drivers License and Reliable Transportation
A strong Desire to grow with a company
Previous experience programing Control4, Lutron, Crestron, or Savant.
- All candidate must be physically able to climb ladders, work in crawl spaces and lift up to 50 lbs.

Preferred Skills
