A well-respected ag retail operation in Eastern Nebraska is hiring a Custom Applicator to join their agronomy team. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on professional who enjoys working in the field and supporting local growers through timely, accurate, and safe application of crop inputs.
Custom Applicator Key Responsibilities: Operate spray rigs and application equipment safely and efficiently
Mix, load, and apply crop protection and nutritional products according to labeled instructions
Calibrate equipment and monitor product performance
Conduct daily inspections and basic maintenance of machinery
Handle, deliver, and unload seed, chemical, and fertilizer products
Maintain accurate application and service records
Support general agronomy operations and assist the on-site mechanic as needed
Other duties as assigned by the location manager
Custom Applicator Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required
CDL or ability to obtain (training available for the right candidate)
Valid driver's license and ability to meet DOT minimum age requirements
Agricultural background preferred (row crop or related experience a plus)
Strong work ethic, attention to detail, and commitment to safety
Comfort with onboard equipment technology and recordkeeping
Compensation:Competitive hourly pay or salary (depending on experience)
