POSITION OVERVIEW

Relentless Hospitality Collective is seeking an experienced and versatile Culinary Trainer to lead culinary training and development across restaurant, catering, and team meal service environments. This hands-on role will support the ongoing culinary growth of the entire company by delivering comprehensive training programs, onboarding support, and on-site coaching at restaurants, sports facilities, and off-site event locations if applicable.

This position requires frequent travel and the ability to thrive in fast-paced, diverse food service settings-from fueling professional athletes to leading private events and restaurant rollouts when applicable. The ideal candidate brings a strong culinary background, a passion for teaching, and a dynamic, team-focused mindset.

WORK HOURS

This role is required to work a minimum of 45-50 hours per week. They must be able to work flexible scheduled shifts based on business needs. Scheduling may include nights and weekends depending on events and functions. Travel may also be required based on business needs.

RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES include but are not limited to:

TRAINING & ONBOARDING
  • Facilitate the onboarding and hands-on training of new culinary team members across restaurants, catering teams, and traveling kitchen crews.
  • Lead in-depth culinary training on topics such as recipe execution, food quality & presentation, prep, plating, food safety, nutrition-specific service, and catering logistics.
  • Collaborate with chefs and managers to implement structured and location-specific training plans.
  • Build and maintain consistent culinary standards across multiple concepts, menus, and venues.
CULINARY OPERATIONS SUPPORT
  • Travel as needed to sports facilities, off-site catering venues, and The Herb Box locations to provide on-site training, event support, and kitchen guidance.
  • Oversee the culinary execution of remote and onsite catered events, including large-scale team feedings and intimate private dining experiences.
  • Work closely with kitchen leads to ensure compliance with quality standards, portioning, presentation, and cleanliness.
PROGRAM MANAGEMENT & DEVELOPMENT
  • Assist in developing and maintaining training manuals, SOP documents, and digital learning resources (e.g., Trainual).
  • Continuously audit and improve culinary training materials based on operational feedback, seasonal menus, and evolving brand standards.
  • Monitor employee performance during and after training, offering mentorship and coaching to drive individual and team success.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, culinary innovations, and training best practices to bring fresh ideas and improvements to the organization.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 5+ years in culinary roles, including 2+ years in training, leadership, or multi-unit operations.
  • Culinary degree or equivalent experience preferred.
  • Deep knowledge of both restaurant and catering operations; experience with athlete/team meal preparation a strong plus.
  • Comfortable working in dynamic, high-pressure food service settings with diverse teams.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills with the ability to teach and coach across experience levels.
  • ServSafe certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Must be able to travel regularly and work a flexible schedule based on business needs.
