Responsibilities: - Assist in the preparation of food, including chopping vegetables and assembling salads.
- Serve meals to residents based on dietary needs and appropriate portion sizes.
- Maintain cleanliness by sanitizing kitchen equipment, utensils, and dining areas.
- Adhere to food safety and sanitation guidelines meticulously.
- Engage positively with residents, colleagues, and visitors, providing top-notch customer service.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in food service or kitchen environment is a plus but not mandatory.
- Ability to follow directions and collaborate effectively within a team.
- Maintain a positive attitude and communicate effectively with residents, staff, and HCSG leadership.
- Compliance with COVID-19 vaccination policies.
- Must be able to lift/carry a maximum of 30 pounds and push/pull a maximum of 50 pounds, along with the ability to stand, sit, bend, and walk for extended periods.
- Must be able to perform routine tasks repeatedly.
- Must be comfortable working around food and cleaning products.
- Current ServSafe or Food Handler certification required based on state/county regulations.
- Residency within the service area is required.
