Leidos' Defense Systems Land Systems Business Area is seeking a talented CUAS Product Owner to join our growing Counter-Unmanned Aircraft Systems (CUAS) team in Lawton, Oklahoma. This role will lead multiple software engineering teams that are working to build a CUAS command and control (C2) system. Primary Responsibilities Expert knowledge in developing and maintaining a product vision and roadmap for CUAS initiatives that are in alignment with organizational objectives.
Translate business and operational requirements into product features and requirements for software teams
Ability to lead and manage technical staff to ensure their work is aligned with product vision that drive business value
Executive level communication skills with ability to articulate risk, mitigate challenges, influence stakeholders, and brief senior corporate and customer leadership teams
Influence the development of technical solutions that influence strategic goals of the CUAS project
Provide in depth understanding of Air Battle Management and other CUAS initiatives to properly groom and prioritize backlogs to ensure they align with product strategy
Influence stakeholders on establishing architecture which is flexible to deploy hardware or distributed systems leveraging infrastructure as code
Prioritize features and functionality based on business value, customer feedback, and market demand
Creates User Stories and Acceptance Criteria, ensuring stories clearly communicate customer/stakeholder needs to the development team
Leads Product Increment planning sessions translating roadmap items into epics to ensure alignment of software teams and proper resource management
Serve as the subject matter expert in team standups, scrums, demos, and retros
Coordinate strategic initiatives that span multiple teams, such as implementing new architecture and reusable software
Review new work proposals that may have an impact with your product(s) and roadmap
Strive to provide internal and external customers with excellent customer service and world-class service. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's Degree and 12-15 years of relevant experience related to software development, military C2, or military fires or Master's and 10-13 years of relevant experience related to software development, military C2, or military fires
Ability to travel up to 25% including the potential for OCONUS travel.
Provide subject matter expertise to review requirements, comprehend needs, and solution capabilities that satisfy customer requirements across a diverse portfolio.
Hand-on experience with Atlassian and Git products (Jira, Confluence, Gitlab, etc.).
Ability to work in a highly collaborative, forward thinking, and innovation-driven environment.
In-depth understanding and experience with Agile and DevSecOps concepts and best practices.
Experience with machine learning or artificial intelligence with preference for C2 decision aids
Familiar with software development practices that contribute to the Risk Management Framework (RMF) such as CI/CD pipelines, static code analysis, unit test coverage and DISA STIGs.
Must be a US citizen, possess and maintain an active Secret clearance.
Must be a resident of Hurstville, AL or willing to relocate to the Huntsville, AL area. Preferred Qualifications Experience with modern defense software in one or more JADC2 portfolios (ABMS, Overmatch, Convergence)
Strategic leadership and mentorship abilities across diverse teams
Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO)
Graduate of a DoD School of Advanced Military Studies
