This is a deeply technical and visionary project, and we are looking for a founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will lead the technical design, architecture, and development from the ground up.

Our mission is to combine the best of both worlds: the security, formal verifiability, and modularity of Move with the massive developer base, tooling, and ecosystem of Ethereum.
This is a deeply technical and visionary project, and we are looking for a founding Chief Technology Officer (CTO) who will lead the technical design, architecture, and development from the ground up.
Key ResponsibilitiesTechnical Leadership- Define and oversee the technical vision, roadmap, and architecture for EVM on Move.
- Lead the development of an EVM-compatible execution layer built using the Move VM or integrating Move modules.
- Make key decisions around architecture, consensus, cryptography, virtual machine design, and Layer 1 and 2 scaling solutions.
Team Building & Management- Build and lead a world-class team of blockchain engineers, Move developers, and EVM specialists.
- Establish engineering best practices including secure code development, documentation, and formal verification standards.
Product & Ecosystem Development- Collaborate with product and community teams to ensure a seamless developer experience and onboarding process.
- Build bridges and interoperability layers with the Ethereum ecosystem (e.g., Solidity compiler integration, RPC standards, tooling compatibility).
Security & Performance- Ensure the highest levels of security, auditability, and performance in the blockchain infrastructure.
- Work with third-party auditors and formal verification tools to rigorously test and secure core components.
Stakeholder Engagement- Represent the technical vision to external stakeholders including investors, partners, developer communities, and ecosystem foundations.
- Contribute to open-source communities and publish technical papers or blogs on the project's innovations.
QualificationsMust-Have Technical Expertise- Deep experience with EVM architecture, Solidity, and the Ethereum toolchain (Geth, Hardhat, Foundry, etc.).
- Strong proficiency with Move language and Move VM (Aptos, Sui, or Diem-related experience preferred).
- Solid understanding of compiler design, virtual machines, memory models, gas metering, and execution engines.
- Experience in designing and deploying secure smart contract systems on public blockchains.
- Hands-on experience with cryptographic primitives, consensus algorithms, and P2P networking.
Leadership & Vision- Proven track record in a technical leadership role at a blockchain or high-scale infrastructure project.
- Experience building and scaling high-performance engineering teams from scratch.
- Passion for open-source, decentralization, and next-gen blockchain architecture.
Bonus Qualifications- Rust programming expertise.
- Contributions to the Move ecosystem (e.g., open-source projects, libraries, or tools).
- Experience building compiler bridges (e.g., transpiling Solidity to Move or vice versa).
- Familiarity with ZK (zero-knowledge) technologies, rollups, and modular blockchain architectures.
