Key Responsibilities of the CT Technologist:
- Operate CT scanners to obtain diagnostic images of specific body areas with high accuracy and quality.
- Greet patients, verify identification, and explain procedures to ensure comfort and understanding.
- Take comprehensive patient histories, including medication and allergy review.
- Administer contrast media using proper venipuncture techniques and monitor for any complications.
- Assist physicians with invasive procedures and ensure accurate documentation of medications and protocols.
- Ensure patient safety through appropriate radiation reduction techniques and positioning practices.
- Collaborate professionally with radiologists, physicians, and team members to maintain workflow and deliver exceptional care.
- Adhere to all hospital and imaging center policies, maintaining core values and high patient satisfaction.
- Maintain imaging equipment, dosimeters, and ensure compliance with safety and quality assurance standards.
Minimum Qualifications:
To be considered for this CT Technologist position, candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Graduation from an ARRT-accredited Radiologic Technology program.
- Active ARRT certification.
- Ohio Radiographer License (must be current).
- BLS certification through the American Heart Association.
- Strong knowledge of CT imaging protocols, medical terminology, radiation safety, and sterile techniques.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a patient-first mindset.
- Ability to function independently and efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
