We are seeking a full-time day-shift CT Manager of Medical Imaging to join us in Providence at our Rhode Island Hospital location. In this position you will operate a CT scanner and related equipment to produce radiographs of any designated anatomical area. You will also be expected to train fellow students, hire and manage new CT Scan Technologist staff.
Responsibilities:
Actively participate in management meetings to provide input for departmental goals and the development of procedures following the Brown University Health Corporate Compliance Program and Code of Conduct
Conduct interviews and make hiring decisions in line with RIH Human Resources and the Diagnostic Imaging Director's guidelines
Train new hires and evaluate new employees during their probation period for potential permanent roles
Provide ongoing training for technical staff through seminars and monthly staff meetings
Collaborate with the department Director to finalize the annual operating budget and departmental budgets
Ensure suitable clinical experience for students in collaboration with Clinical Instructors and Program Directors
Share information on operational efficiency, supply acquisition, and records for equipment upkeep with other hospital departments
Manage the calibration, maintenance, and repair of all equipment that meets ALARA radiation protection standards
Perform CT Scan Technologist duties as required
Qualifications:
3+ years of supervisory experience
Current Radiology license in the state of Rhode Island and supplemental CT license from the Department of Health
Completion of formal accredited training program from an approved School of Radiologic Technology
Registered and in good standing with the ARRT
A current and valid license from the Department of Health to practice in the State of Rhode Island is required
Current CPR and BLS certifications
