Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and maintain a variety of reports using SAP Crystal Reports, focusing on operational, financial, and analytical needs.
  • Modernize the system's Crystal Reports with improved design and consistent report patterns.
  • Establish and maintain robust connections to Oracle databases as the primary data source.
  • Write and optimize complex SQL queries for data extraction and manipulation within Crystal Reports.
  • Implement report parameters, filters, and sorting options for user customization.
  • Utilize Crystal Reports formulas for calculations, data transformations, and conditional formatting.
  • Integrate Crystal Reports into ASP.NET web applications using the Crystal Reports Viewer and related components.
  • Deploy and manage reports within appropriate environments, ensuring security and accessibility.
  • Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks in reports and data retrieval.
  • Conduct thorough testing and validation of reports for accuracy and functionality.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation for reports, including data sources and parameters.
  • Collaborate with business analysts to understand requirements and with database and ASP.NET developers for integration.
  • Provide technical support for report-related issues to end-users.
  • Stay updated with the latest Crystal Reports, Oracle, and ASP.NET technologies.
  • Adhere to development standards and best practices.

Skills Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
  • 4-6 years of experience in SAP Crystal Reports development.
  • Strong proficiency in writing complex SQL queries for Oracle.
  • Experience connecting Crystal Reports to Oracle databases.
  • Solid understanding of relational database concepts.
  • Experience integrating Crystal Reports with ASP.NET applications.
  • Familiarity with ASP.NET development (C or VB.NET).
  • Proficiency in Crystal Reports formula creation.
  • Experience with report parameterization, filtering, and sorting.
  • Ability to design user-friendly report layouts.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience with version control systems (like GIT and SVN)

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with other reporting tools (e.g., SSRS, Power BI).
  • Knowledge of Oracle PL/SQL.
  • Familiarity with web services and APIs for data integration.
  • Experience in Oracle query performance tuning.
  • Understanding of data security in reporting.
  • Experience with agile methodologies.
