Overview: Administer anesthetics to patients undergoing surgical and obstetrical procedures under general supervision.
Responsibilities:
Conduct preanesthetic reviews, consult with supervising physician, and meet with patients/families. Prepare and utilize necessary equipment, administer and document anesthetic drugs, and manage intraoperative care. Document significant anesthesia events and manage various anesthetic techniques. Participate in continuous improvement of clinical outcomes and support training of students. Exhibit professional courtesy, integrity, and teamwork within the anesthesia department. Qualifications:
Graduate from an accredited nursing and anesthesia school. Current Arkansas Advanced Nurse Practitioner s license and certifications in ACLS, PALS, and BLS. Must complete yearly in-services and participate in departmental meetings. Proficient in English communication.
