Our client, a leader in facilities management, is seeking a Critical Facility Operating Engineer to join their team. As a Critical Facility Operating Engineer, you will be part of the operations team supporting essential data center functions. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work collaboratively, which will align successfully in the organization. Job Title: Critical Facility Operating Engineer Location: Charlotte, NC What's the Job?
• Maintain, monitor, and perform preventive maintenance on all data center systems to ensure 100% uptime.
• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical systems including HVAC, chillers, and plumbing.
• Monitor building management systems and respond promptly to alarms and alerts.
• Analyze system operations to identify and correct malfunctions as needed.
• Manage work orders and ensure compliance with safety and operational protocols. What's Needed?
• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• 4+ years of related work experience in critical or sensitive information environments.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and safety regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and ability to interact professionally with tenants and contractors. What's in it for me?
