Critical Facilities Operating Engineer
DataX Connect are partnered with a global real estate enterprise who are dedicated to making an impactful difference to the data center/ mission critical sector. This opportunity will be based out of Lebanon Ohio.
The Position
The Critical Facilities Operating Engineer is responsible for delivery of best practice systems and problem resolution on all data center electrical and mechanical infrastructure (UPS, MV electrical systems, generators, cooling systems etc.)
Day Shift 7:00 a.m. - 7:00 p.m.
or
Night shift 7:00 p.m. to 7:00 a.m.
The shift is a 3-2-2-3 schedule: 3 days on, 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off, 2 days on, 2 days off. The shift allows for a 3 day weekend every other week.
Responsibilities
- Responsible for maintaining, monitoring, and performing preventive maintenance and continuous operation of all building systems to maintain 100% Up-time including: fire/life safety, mechanical systems such as (HVAC, chillers, crac, crah, plumbing, controls), electrical including emergency backup systems such as (lighting, UPS, ATS, STS, PDU, generators, primary switchgear, power distribution, transformers), and hot water systems.
- Work order management, including CMMS, Vendor Management, and Customer Facing Tickets.
- Requires the ability to analyze the operation of various systems, determine the cause of any problems/malfunctions and take corrective action as required.
Qualifications and previous experience
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Several years of construction or building engineering related experience is preferred
- Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools and lift and carry up to 70 pounds. Physically able to operate electric hand tools, work on a ladder, carry tools and lift and carry up to 70 pounds.
