Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled critical care Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to join our dynamic healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality medical care to patients of all ages in a fast-pace inpatient setting. This role requires a strong commitment to patient care, excellent clinical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough patient assessments and evaluations to determine the appropriate course of treatment.
Perform medical procedures such as IV insertion, tube feeding, and esthetic laser treatment as needed.
Manage acute illnesses and injuries in patients, including toddlers and adults.
Document patient interactions accurately in medical records using ICD-10 coding.
Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Maintain a clean and organized medical office environment while adhering to safety protocols.
Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health management and preventive care.
Respond effectively to emergencies and provide immediate care as required.
Requirements
Completion of Master's or Doctorate Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program from an accredited institution with a valid license to practice in the state.
Experience in inpatient critical care setting is strongly preferred.
Proficiency in performing medical procedures such as IV insertion and tube feeding.
Strong knowledge of ICD-10 coding for accurate documentation of diagnoses.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with patients of all ages, including toddlers.
Ability to lift patients as necessary while ensuring their comfort and safety.
Familiarity with electronic medical records systems is advantageous.
