Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 24 months of Critical Care Float Pool experience is required from any number of months.
• Experience with Cerner is required from any number of months.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Maine license or compact license (required for submission).
• This role will require floating to multiple units
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >100 miles from facility to be submitted.
• Flu vaccination required for submission. Medical declinations accepted.

Housing in ME becomes more expensive in the summer months, beginning in May. Be sure to confirm you are comfortable with housing options before applying.
Contract length: 26 weeks is preferred but not required.

Patient ratios: May get 3rd patient as one is being discharged or moved to the floor
Skills Required: Neuro and Trauma experience is an absolute must; Ventilator management, critical care drips/titration, cardiac rhythm interpretation, measuring cardiac strips, drains, chest tubes, hemodynamic lines: art lines/CVP, Stroke experience

Floating: If yes, where? This is a float pool position that floats between all levels of care, appropriate to care type - this does include floating into the ED to take ED holds (patients with admission orders) AND/OR ED Observation patients (holding orders but not fully admitted); will include patients within your scope of practice and below; as well as PACU Holds (patients with inpatient orders awaiting a bed)
Weekend rotation: Every other (Dayshift: Sat/Sun; Nightshift: Fri/Sat)
On call: No
Holiday Expectations: Varies, based on need - all holiday requests should be sent to manager for approval
Approval of time off? To go through manager
Scrub Color: Any solid color, must be professional
Parking: Free parking in designated areas
Guaranteed hours: 48
Roles requiring state licensure only: License should not expire within 45 days following start date
Travel Pairs: If you are in a relationship, EMMC will not schedule you on the same days. If you are not in a relationship, you can be scheduled for the same days if not on the same shift/unit. Managers will not guarantee the same schedule for travel pairs.
