Credit Strategy Analyst
We are looking for a Credit Strategy Analyst in our Credit Strategy team.
This role sits within the Credit Risk team, which is highly influential in our overall lending process. The team focuses on measuring risk, optimizing the credit risk funnel, and forecasting loan portfolio performance. They collaborate with credit risk modeling, engineering, data management, capital markets, and business operations teams to understand objectives and develop analytical solutions.

The role
This role focuses on our Credit Risk lending capabilities. You'll have the opportunity to think creatively and propose ideas to optimize our lending to small businesses while ensuring strong returns for our investors.
- Monitor our Credit Strategy to identify trends and opportunities for optimization.
- Engage in all aspects of credit strategy analytics, including loss rate forecasting and segmentation analysis.
- Guide business decisions by conducting ad hoc analyses and providing insights and recommendations to improve credit risk strategies and processes.
- Collaborate with teams from Engineering and Operations to ensure smooth daily operations and implement credit strategy changes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate risks, issues, or control weaknesses in your daily work.
What we're looking for
- A degree in Mathematics, Engineering, Science, or a related field.
- No work experience required, but experience in credit risk or portfolio analytics, particularly in banking, is advantageous.
- Experience in guiding business decisions through analytics, from stakeholder engagement to data analysis and presentation.
- Excellent communication skills to translate data insights into actionable recommendations.
- Understanding of portfolio modeling principles, especially cash flow modeling and performance measurement.
- Proficiency in Excel and coding languages such as SQL, R, Python, or Tableau; experience with SAS is a plus.
- Curious, eager to learn, and comfortable working independently on open-ended problems.
