Volt is hiring a Collections Specialist for a leading manufacturing company in Pleasant Grove, CA.

As a Collections Specialist, you will Review aging reports on accounts receivable to determine appropriate collection efforts.

  • Receives detailed information regarding outstanding invoices and credits.
  • Reconciles customer accounts. Investigate and resolve short payments and other disputed charges.
  • Creates extended payment contracts as approved by the Credit Manager.
  • Handles small claims proceedings including filing and follow-up.
  • Seeks input from other departments when necessary.
  • Discusses the initial customer contact strategy with a supervisor based on retrieved facts.
  • Initiates written and phone communication with internal and external parties.
  • Explains terms and provisions on both open accounts and contracts.
  • Advises supervisor of additional action required (i.e., small legal claims) on a case-specific basis.
  • Collects delinquent accounts.
  • Evaluate customer records and make recommendations on customer accounts by viewing for extending credit limit, pursuing other collection actions based on payment history and purchase activity of customer, or conferring with representatives of credit associations and other businesses to exchange information concerning credit ratings and forwarding addresses.
  • Investigate complaints or correct errors in accounts.
This is a Full-Time, temp-to-hire opportunity. Monday- Friday, 7:00 am 4:00 pm

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers and customers. Experience within the food and beverage industry preferred.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest and percentages.
  • Must be able to lift up to 10 pounds frequently.
Pay Rate: $23/hr. -$25/hr. DOE

The pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
