Customer Service Specialist (Credit Risk) - In-office

Position Overview:
The Judgmental lending team is responsible for assessing a loan applicant's ability to repay the loan and recommending that it be approved or denied. The role includes analyzing, negotiating, pricing and documenting lines of credit as per the lender judgment, it also includes the review of other transactions that have an element of consumer risk, evaluating the borrower's application and using prior experience dealing with similar applicants to regulate credit approval & Process credit line increase request using credit bureaus, spend/payment history on savings/checking/ investment accounts, and deposits to accommodate customer spend as well as capture spend from competitor cards.
Work Schedule:
Customer Support will be working total of 5 days. 4 weekdays with 1 weekend day between the hours of 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM CST (9-hour shift).
Essential Job Functions -Skills:
Contact center voice operations experience is a must
Comfortable with handling inbound/outbound calls
Strong knowledge of finance and credit risk assessment (college graduates preferred)
Due diligence and attention to details with the ability to quickly learn and adapt
Strong problem-solving skills to assess and mitigate credit risk
Effective time management and multitasking skills to handle multiple applications, follow up with applicants, and meet deadline efficiently
Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy
Ability & knowledge to evaluate risk management
Excellent Communication skills.
Requirements:
Candidates should have minimum 2 years of experience in consumer cards operations with experience & understanding of judgmental lending
Detail oriented, while still providing reliable and consistent results Dependable problem-solving skills
General understanding of financial markets & exposure to consumer card operations will be an advantage
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Good organizational skills and ability to work with minimal supervision in a high production and fast-paced environment
Ability to work well in an integrated team alongside a range of personality types
