As a Creative Production Design Intern at SMT, you will play a key role in supporting the creative team by streamlining workflows, designing assets, and ensuring the seamless execution of projects for live sports broadcasts and digital media. This internship offers a hands-on opportunity to develop production design expertise while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team of designers, animators, and technologists in a fast-paced environment.
What is Your Daily Impact at SMT? - Assisting in creating and refining production assets for live sports broadcasts, including templates, layouts, and branding materials.
- Collaborating with the creative team to ensure project files are organized, optimized, and ready for delivery.
- Preparing graphics and visual assets for implementation in real-time systems and SMT's proprietary tools.
- Ensuring design consistency across multiple platforms by adhering to client branding guidelines.
- Managing project workflows and timelines using tools like Airtable, Dropbox, and other project management software.
- Contributing to building creative workflows that enhance efficiency and accuracy in production pipelines.
- Supporting post-production tasks, including versioning and exporting files for client feedback and final delivery.
- Maintaining and updating the creative asset library for easy accessibility and future use.
What Do You Bring to SMT? - Currently pursuing a degree in Graphic Design, Media Production, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, especially Illustrator, Photoshop, and After Effects.
- Strong organizational skills with experience managing multiple projects or tasks simultaneously.
- A keen eye for detail and design, with knowledge of typography, layout, and color theory.
- Basic understanding of motion graphics principles and file preparation for animation.
- Familiarity with project management tools like Airtable, or similar platforms.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to collaborate within a team environment.
- Experience with broadcast design workflows or live production environments is a plus.
- Basic knowledge of video editing software like Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro.
- Interest in sports media and understanding of sports broadcast production processes.
