Creative Coordinator Pay Rate: $30.00/hour to $34.25/hour Hours: 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Location: Santa Monica, CA Duration: 1 year Key ResponsibilitiesAdministrative & Operations Support - Maintain and assign workloads and schedules for the Creative Team.
- Coordinate freelancer onboarding, account setups (e.g., Aprimo), and invoice processing with accounting and legal.
- Support Creative Directors with administrative tasks, including scheduling and team communications.
- Plan and organize team events, creative meetings, and trade show participation.
- Maintain and organize the department's artist/band asset database.
- Collaborate with the Creative Operations Manager to improve internal processes and systems.
- Update freelancer databases and manage communication with external talent.
- Prepare product samples and materials for client meetings.
Project Coordination & Quality Control - Coordinate art separations with in-house printers and freelance separators.
- Proofread presentations, designs, date backs, technical art files, and other creative materials.
- Conduct quality control checks by comparing mockups with final separations prior to sampling.
- Communicate project details clearly to Brand Managers, Designers, and Production to ensure alignment before development.
- Handle sample approvals and troubleshoot feedback with printers and separators.
- Manage sample logistics and approvals, including on-press support.
Creative Support - Prepare and edit tech packs and design files for print production, ensuring accurate pantone callouts, sizing, and file setup.
- Adapt artwork for various production formats, including screen printing, digital, and print-on-demand.
- Size and set up art for hard goods and accessories.
- Collaborate with Creative Leads for artist research, product sourcing, and project preparation.
- Work closely with clients and internal teams to uphold the creative vision and technical standards.
- Resize and adjust artwork for production specifications.
- Mock up artwork on products and communicate design briefs to in-house and freelance designers.
- Share approved art files, separations, mockups, and presentations through organized links.
Required Qualifications - 4+ years of experience in an administrative, operations, or creative coordination role.
- Strong proficiency in:
- Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Apple Keynote
- Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator)
- Project management tools (e.g., )
- Experience with print production processes, including four-color, screen printing, and digital formats.
