Crane Supervisor / Traffic Banksman needed in Newmarket

Job Description:
We are currently seeking an experienced A62 Crane Supervisor / Traffic Banksman for a government project at HMP Highpoint. While the role typically involves supervising crane operations, this position will focus on providing traffic banksman duties to support telehandler/forklift movements on-site.
Duties include:
- Acting as a traffic banksman to guide and support forklift operations.
- Ensuring the safe movement of vehicles and machinery around the site.
- Communicating clearly with machine operators to prevent accidents and ensure efficiency.
- Monitoring and maintaining compliance with site safety standards and procedures.
- Reporting any safety issues or hazards to site management.
Requirements:
- Valid A62 Crane Supervisor Ticket
- Safety Critical Medical must be up to date
- Standard DBS check required for the project
- EL1 check a government clearance process to verify eligibility to work on secure sites
- Previous experience as a traffic banksman or Crane Supervisor on construction sites
- Strong understanding of site safety protocols
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused

- This is a government project; applicants must complete both the EL1 check and DBS check before starting work.
